Our Story
The Little Family
We are the Little family: Meghan, Chris, Brayden, and Avery. We came to the area in 2012 and fell in love with the Blue Ridge Mountains.
All of a sudden, we had the opportunity to purchase a home on some land in Afton — land that had an operational flower farm already growing on it. With green thumbs and a love for the outdoors, we decided to carry on the business rather than let it go, and we've been going all-in ever since.
We've spent countless hours improving on an already wonderful venture, making the business our own one season at a time — and we're still growing.
What We Grow
Every season brings something new to the field. Spring starts with tulips, daffodils, and snapdragons, followed by anemones, ranunculus, and peonies — we planted 120 new peony roots in 2025, so there will be even more every May. Summer is all zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers, larkspur, celosia, and cosmos, and the dahlias and zinnias keep blooming right up until the first frost. A hoop house gives our earliest spring flowers a head start.
Grown With the Bees in Mind
The field is buzzing all season long with bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Healthy plants and plenty of pollinators mean we can let nature do much of the work.
Visit the Stand
Our farm stand runs on the honor system and is open every day from April through October, 8am to 8pm. Grab a fresh pre-cut jar, or come mid-to-late season for U-Pick: fill a jar with water, wander the rows, and build your own bouquet. You'll probably meet one of the farm cats along the way. We're a short drive from Bold Rock and the wineries and breweries along Route 151, so we make an easy stop on a day out in Nelson County.

Want to wake up next to the flower field? Our on-farm apartment is available on Airbnb, and guests get free U-Pick when it's in season.
